Where is the School located?
1201 Airport Road, Bloomington, IL on the east-side of Bloomington near Central Illinois Regional Airport.
When did the School open?
CCHS draws on a rich tradition stretching back to its first graduating class from St. Mary's High School in 1898. In 1968, the high school became known as Central Catholic High School. August of 2003, CCHS moved to its current campus on Airport Road.

What is the average class size?
There are an average of 19 students per class. Specific class size will vary depending on subject matter.

What is the length of the school day?
The regular school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:40 p.m.

What is the religious affiliation?
Central Catholic High School is a 501(c)3 nonprofit diocesan Catholic high school affiliated with the Diocese of Peoria. 

If I am not Catholic, can I still attend CCHS?
Central Catholic High School is authentically Catholic and open to students of all faiths. The religious curriculum is based on the Roman Catholic doctrine and beliefs. All students are required to take four years of Theology and attend the religious services held at CCHS. There is a tuition difference between parish affiliated Catholic students and non-affiliated students.

Are Advanced Placement courses offered?
AP courses are currently offered in Calculus, Chemistry, English Language and Composition, English Literature, Physics and History. Dual-credit courses are also available through our partnership with Heartland Community College.

What sports are offered?

What criteria are used for admissions?
A placement test is offered for all incoming freshman to help counselors determine the best path to appropriately challenge students and meet each one's particular needs. If an IEP or 504 plan is in place we will need to review the plan prior to registration to ensure that we have the resources available to help the student achieve success.

How many Christian service hours are required for graduation?
All CCHS students are required to complete at least 5 hours per quarter for a total of at least 80 hours over four years. Visit the Living the Faith webpage of the Faith and Service section for complete details on service opportunities and requirements.

Are uniforms required?
CCHS enforces personal appearance standards and a dress code detailed on page 20 of the student handbook.

What is the tuition for this school year?
The tuition for the 2020-21 school year is $8,295 for members of our Partner Parishes. Our non-affiliated tuition is $10,300.
